Sujan Wickremaratchi

West Sussex County Councillor - Haywards Heath Town

Haywards Heath Town Councillor - Ashenground

"I was born on March 9th 1962. I am married with two children and lived in the UK for over 30 years.

I attended St.Thomas College, a leading private school studying Economics and Politics. I also began an interest in I.T. allowing me to pursue a career in that industry.

I have lived in Haywards Heath for more than 25 years. As well being an I.T. specialist, I also run my own business.

In 2005 I turned my attentions to my home country of Sri-Lanka. Assisting in the Tsunami disaster relief, I personally spent many weeks in that country. I now sponsor an orphanage in Sri-Lanka.

I am involved in several local organisations:

Vice Chairman of Conservative Party membership for West Sussex

Trust member of the Princess Royal Hospital

Director at Warden Park Academy and Chairman of the Standards Committee

Ashenground Ward Neighbourhood watch policing panel member

Colwell Close - Neighbourhood watch Co-ordinator"

Sujan and has fought hard for residents, such as over road resurfacing, more salt bins installed and funding for the Wivelsfield Road pedestrian crossing. He is on the local Neighbourhood Police Panel.
