Nicholas Soames MP
He served as Member of Parliament for Crawley from 1983-1997
and has been MP for Mid Sussex since 1997. Nicholas was re-elected with an
increased share of the vote in both 2001 and 2005. Nicholas' has specialist knowledge in the fields of defence,
Europe, international affairs, trade and industry, aviation and the
countryside. During the last Conservative government, Nicholas served as
Minister for Food and Minister for the Armed Forces. From 2003 to May 2005, Nicholas was Shadow Secretary of
State for Defence, and is now a member of the House of Commons Standards and
