Soames
calls meeting on East Grinstead railway redevelopment Town MP, Nicholas Soames, has called a meeting on Friday, 12th March, on the proposed redevelopment of the town’s railway station. Mr Soames said; “In the light of local anxieties and the strong representations that have been made to me I thought it would be beneficial for the interested parties to meet to discuss the plans. For many the station is the first impression which they form of East Grinstead and it is important that we try and get the best solution for the town.” The meeting which will be chaired by Mr Soames and hosted by the Town Clerk, Chris Rolley, will be attended by representatives from Network Rail, Southern Railway, Mid Sussex District Council, East Grinstead Town Council, West Sussex County Council, the East Grinstead Business Association and the East Grinstead Access Group. Mr Soames will issue a statement after the meeting. |
