MP and Council Leaders visit East Grinstead Nicholas Soames MP, together with County Councillor Henry Smith, Leader of West Sussex County Council and Councillor Gordon Marples, Leader of Mid Sussex District Council, visited East Grinstead on Friday 3rd April. After visiting the East Grinstead Children & Family Centre in Blackwell Farm Road, all three commented on how deeply impressed they were with the wonderful facilities there are for families in East Grinstead and by the staff. They then moved to the Glen Vue Centre and saw around the excellent day care facilities provided. After walking up the High Street to assess the impact of the Thornfields project, Nicholas hosted the Leaders to coffee in Café Nero with members of the business community. The party then walked to the Chequer Mead Community Arts Centre where Nicholas hosted a lunchtime reception for a broad section of East Grinstead people. Nicholas said; “This
was a very useful day and I believe it will prove to have been extremely
beneficial for the future.” |
